Indexed ledger of ca. 372 pages for Jasper O'Farrell's store probably in Freestone, Sonoma Co. lists names of customers and
often their occupation at the top of each page, with a chronological purchase and account summary following, some with signatures
of the customer recording settling of the account. The following accounts had sizable entries: E.P. Hull (carpenter), E.F.
Thurston, John Keys, Whiteside & Co., Jeremiah Krum (fence builder), James McGinty (farmer), George O'Farrell ("debtor"),
Meagher (gardener), and Francis Buckley. Records show purchase of everyday goods, tools, lumber, oats, and other supplies.
The volume ends with a list of property "attached and in charge of" Geo. O'Farrell.
